Grandad's Workshop: History, Destiny & Legacy.

Posted by Lewis Morgan on

HISTORY

Recently, Pastos Co founder, JP, visited his Grandad’s workshop.

Guess what they make?

That’s right, furniture.

In this family, furniture making goes back generations.

Grandad, dad, son.

DESTINY

JP tried his best to pursue other ventures, but some things are just meant to be.

What started as a lockdown project, has evolved into the small team we are today.

Two and a bit years in and we’re finding our feet.

There’s still plenty of room to grow though.

LEGACY

The workshop, located in Nicosia, Cyprus, is now run by JP’s uncle.

They’re still making furniture. 50 years later.

That’s our challenge.

Still be making furniture in 50 years time.

How do we do it?

By keeping on doing what we do.

Trying new ideas, learning from our mistakes, improving, and moving on.

Sometimes, you need to look back to move forward.
