All of our furniture is made to order, carefully cut, sanded, and finished by hand. Every console table and shelf we make is unique, with slight variations in colour and grain pattern that add to its character. Each shelf is approximately 3.1cm thick and can be made 11cm or 22cm deep. If you can’t find the size you need, please get in touch, and we’ll make it to measure for you :)
A narrow console table like this one is a simple way to make use of small or narrow spaces. Whether it's a hallway, entryway, or the space above a radiator, it offers a useful surface without taking up much room. Many of our customers also use it as an additional narrow surface in an office / studio setup or dining table where space is tight but they still want something solid and well made.
The legs are made from solid steel and are powder coated in black with a clean satin finish. They're welded in the UK and give the piece a slightly industrial edge without being too heavy looking. The table can be made with 71cm, 86cm or 102cm tall legs depending on your choice and can be sized to fit the space you've got in mind. Unless otherwise requested, your console table will be delivered with 86cm tall legs, the same height as the pictures on this listing.
Our console tables are solid and strong, made with joinery-grade wood that’s both sustainable and durable. Each board is cut to size, hand sanded multiple times to a very smooth surface and then finished with a colour from our range. The finishes we use are water-based, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and seal the wood with a protective layer that’s waterproof and stain-resistant, making it easy to clean and maintain.

Once the legs are installed, the console table naturally leans into the wall and its weight will keep it there but we do recommend fixing it to the wall for extra stability. A small wall bracket, screws and a wall plug will be included in the package. Please note, we provide concrete wall plugs so if your wall is made from a different material, please ensure you source and use the appropriate type of wall plugs for secure installation.
Wood characteristics:
Wood is a natural material that breathes and responds to its environment. It may show knots, grain variations, and colour differences. Kiln drying reduces warping and splitting, but wood can still move slightly based on humidity and temperature changes. Our products are designed and crafted with care to allow for this natural movement.
Imperfections in solid wood reveal its history, and reclaimed planks may have slight unevenness or bowing over time. These natural variations enhance the uniqueness of each piece, ensuring your shelf is truly one of a kind, while maintaining full functionality and structural integrity.
