The Ditchling Candle Company

Modern candlestick makers, making candles the old way

An amber glass jar scented soy candle with wooden wick and with a parchment coloured label reading 'The Ditching Candle Company' and with scent name 'wild thyme' with notes of 'hillside herbs and old stone' sits on a rustic wooden table, styled with dried lavender in a ceramic pitcher and a book in the background with a bunch of wild thyme on it.

Pastos was born from a love of making things by hand, with good materials and no shortcuts. The Ditchling Candle Company comes from the same place, and the same hands.

It began the way our furniture did, out of curiosity. A workshop, raw materials, and the belief that the things we live with should be made with care or not made at all. Where Pastos works in solid wood, Ditchling Candle Company works in organic wax, natural fragrances and refillable, handmade vessels, poured by hand in seasonal batches in Sussex.

Two crafts, one standard. If you know how a Pastos piece is made, you already know how a Ditchling candle is made.
